Fans of the legendary music band Rolling Stones have something to celebrate and cheer about. The US space agency, NASA has named a little stone after the iconic rock band after its InSight robotic lander captured an object rolling across Mars. This news was made public by Iron Man Robert Downey Jr. on Thursday night. He declared it as the Rose Bowl, California before the Stones came on stage for their performance. Sir Mick Jagger told the crowd, "Nasa has given us something we have always dreamed of, our very own rock on Mars. I can't believe it." He further said, "I want to bring it back on put it on our mantelpiece."
Robert Downey Jr said NASA came up with the name in a 'fit of fandom and clever association'. He added, ""Charlie, Ronnie, Keith and Mick they were in no way opposed to the notion, but in typical egalitarian fashion, they suggested I assist in procuring 60,000 votes to make it official, so that's my mission." Sir Mick said that Iron Man was the fave action hero of The Rolling Stones. He said, "I want to say a special thanks to our favourite action man Robert Downey Jr. That was a very nice intro he gave." It seems the Mars rock is just a little bigger than a golf ball. InSight landed on the red planet on November 26. It moved around 3 feet on Mars.
