After scoring a hit with his latest release iSmart Shankar, Puri Jagannadh will now collaborate with the hotshot actor of Telugu cinema Vijay Deverakonda. The film was announced recently and will soon go on shooting floors. And according to latest reports, Puri Jagannadh has finalised the title of the film. News has it that the film has been titled Fighter and will go on shooting floors from January 2020 after Vijay Deverakonda wraps up his current assignments. It is also being speculated that Vijay Deverakonda will play a street-smart young man in Fighter and his character will be different from what he has played so far. Fans of the Rowdy Star will be quite kicked about the film since Puri Jagannadh is known for portraying antagonists of his story in a swanky style.
Vijay Deverakonda was last seen in Dear Comrade which was released in all four South Indian languages. The film received mixed response from audience in each state but Vijay received rave reviews from critics. Rashmika Mandanna played the female lead role in Dear Comrade and received much appreciation for her intense portrayal in the film.
Vijay is currently shooting for his upcoming film with Kranthi Madhav which has more than one actress playing the female lead role. Raashi Khanna, Isabelle Leite and Aishwarya Rajesh will be seen playing the female lead roles. This film is expected to release in November this year which is yet to be confirmed by the makers.
On the other hand, Puri Jagannadh last directed iSmart Shankar which featured Ram Pothineni, Nabha Natesh and Nidhhi Agerwal. The film turned out to be a huge hit and audience loved Ram's portrayal as a street-smart Hyderabadi young man. At the box office, iSmart Shankar earned more than Rs 45 crore in gross.
