Popular international comedian and actor Kevin Hart was taken to the hospital on Sunday with major back injuries after his car crashed into a ditch. According to highway authorities, one of Hart's classic cars, 1970 Plymouth Barracuda -- a powerful vintage car, ended up in a ditch in the Malibu Hills. A report in TMZ states that 'looking at the damage ... it's a miracle he and 2 other people in the vehicle survived.' According to the California Highway Patrol report, Hart was riding with two other people in the wee hours of Sunday on Mulholland Highway in Los Angeles County. The driver, identified as Jared Black, lost control of the car, veering off the road and rolled the car into the ditch. The accident apparently took place before 1 Am.
The third passenger in the car traveling with the two was internet fitness model Rebecca Broxterman. The three of them were trapped inside. According to the Highway Patrol report, "Hart and Black sustained major back injuries as a result of this collision and were transported and treated at nearby hospital."
Broxterman did not suffer any injury. Black who is Broxterman's fiance was not under the influence of alcohol while driving the car.
The 40-year-old Hart is a popular comedian and actor, known for roles in The Secret Life of Pets and Jumanji.' He was asked to host the 2019 Oscars, but pulled out when old homophobic tweets of his resurfaced.
