Shahid Kapoor was highly praised for his performance in the Sandeep Vanga's directorial. In fact, in BollywoodLife's review, his performance was tagged as his career best. A part of the review read, "Kabir Singh is an ace up Shahid Kapoor s sleeve and a treat for his fans. Watch it if you want some intense romance laced up with knock-out performances."
