After the success of the mass-entertainer Satyameva Jayate, Bhushan Kumar, Nikkhil Advani and Milap Milan Zaveri are back with their next film Marjaavaan starring Sidharth Malhotra. In fact, the actor recently wrapped up the shooting for this action-packed, high on drama, emotional love story which also stars Riteish Deshmukh, Tara Sutaria and Rakul Preet. There is a lot of excitement around this casting is because Riteish and Sidharth were last seen together in film Ek Villain (2013), which was co-written by Milap as well. Tara Sutaria debuted with SOTY 2 will play Sidharth Malhotra's love interest in this film along with Rakul Preet. But hey, the mix has just got better! How? Well, Nushrat Bharucha who was last seen in hit film Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety has also joined the cast, albeit for a special number. That's right, the actress will be seen in the mass-entertainer in a song titled 'Peeyu Datke' with Sid. Sung and composed by Honey Singh, the song is inspired by a Rajasthani folk song. According to Mumbai Mirror, the duo began filming on Tuesday at a suburban studio, before shifting to Vasai Fort. Opening up about how it happened, Nushrat said, "The film entered my orbit several times. I d constantly hear about Marjaavaan at events and parties. At one such gathering, I was randomly told about this song they were doing and told that they were scouting around for a girl. Sid suggested that I do it and everyone was surprised when I agreed instantly. I guess I was destined to be a part of the film."
"It s a party track with a desi vibe but also an underground feel which makes for an interesting contrast. For the first two days we shot on a mill set, and today we are shooting outdoors. Mudassar s (Khan) choreography is fab and I m having a blast!" the actress added.
Not just that she also revealed that she has a special bond with Sidharth and stated, "He is a gentleman, one of the nicest guys in the industry. On Wednesday, during the shoot, I was stressed out about something and he kept telling me to relax."
Talking about Marjaavaan, it is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Divya Khosla Kumar, Krishan Kumar of T-Series and Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani and Nikkhil Advani of Emmay Entertainment. The film is slated to release on 2nd October this year. Stay tuned to BL for more updates and scoops!
